A very powerful, IP based system capable of connecting up to 360 stations (IP, digital and analog) and up to 192 "T1/DS0" digital trunks. IP Office is a more versatile system, with the look and operation of "Enterprise" systems and vastly extends the connectivity with multiple sites and advanced features. Features that will allow users across multiple sites to receive calls as part of a single hunt group and hot desking to let users 'login' anywhere on the system to their own extension. An all-in-one scalable solution that delivers advanced IP-enabled communication and contact center functionality for small and medium size businesses.

The IP Office family consists of the IP Office 500 and IP Office 412 communications solutions. Systems can be expanded through the use of expansion modules. Avaya IP Office delivers full voice functionality with a comprehensive set of features. The IP Office system can be configured as a voice-only PBX, using traditional circuit-switched lines, or as an IP telephony server using high-speed ISDN/PRI dial-up access and/or direct leased line connectivity and/or SIP trunks. The IP Office 500 communication solution can scale up to 272 telephones and 8 T1/E1 trunks; the IP Office 412 supports up to 360 telephones and 4 T1/E1 trunks.

FEATURES:

  • Unified Communications for Small Business
  • Conferencing
  • Messaging
  • Networking: Small Community Networking links support multiple IP Office systems via a standard data network, providing feature transparency and advanced applications such as centralized voice messaging.
  • Phone Manager: Desktop communications application available in three versions
  • SoftConsole: PC-based Windows Operator Console for IP Office working with a desktop telephone.
  • Computer Telephony Integration (CTI): CTI allows users to access information in company databases during phone calls. A services representative can automatically receive detailed customer information in a screen-pop on their PC when a customer calls.
  • IP Office Manager System Administration Tool: The system administration tool. Using a Windows Graphical User Interface, Manager provides an intuitive interface for installation, configuration and subsequent moves, additions, and changes.
  • Remote Hot Desking:The ability for a user on one IP Office system to log into any telephone (analog, digital, or IP) on another IP Office system within the Small Community Network.
  • SIP Trunks: Allows IP Office users to take advantage of new telephony services being offered by Internet Telephony Service Providers.

IP Office Release 5
It's all about greater business continuity, by introducing Resilient Small Community Network. To have a second site be a backup for a main or another site and to have voicemail (pro) re-register to a backup site is really approaching a new status for reliability. This could only be accomplished though, with IP endpoints (phones). Digital or analog phones connected to a failed system would not have this ability. With this enhancement, hunt groups and users will be known on both systems and most useable features are transparent There will not be idle hardware in a design implemented with the redundant SCM. Another great enhancement to SCN is the expansion to 32 sites, doubling the systems that can be connected. There's also word that release 5 will support more phones, extending options for users with needs for color and enterprise phones. There may not seem like much that's new with release 5, but it is a lot when considering how this will affect the decision to design and implement a resilient communications platform.
